What is Code Vault?
A private vault for the discount codes stores email you. Forward a promo email to your own @thevault.codes address; we pull out the code, the discount, and the fine print — then the code reappears at checkout when you're shopping at that store.
How do I keep track of the promo codes stores email me?
Forward them to your vault — that's the whole system. Do it by hand, or set a one-time inbox rule that forwards store emails automatically. Codes get filed by store, retire when they expire, and show up at checkout so you're never digging through your inbox mid-purchase.
How is this different from coupon extensions like Honey?
Those try long lists of crowd-sourced codes that anyone can grab — which is why they so often come up empty. Your vault holds only codes that were emailed to you: welcome offers, birthday codes, come-back deals. Stores meant those codes for you, so they actually tend to work.
Does Code Vault read my inbox?
No — it can't. There's no OAuth and no account access to grant or revoke. You forward mail to the vault, so it only ever sees what you send it, and email bodies are deleted the moment the code is extracted.
